My new Friend Maren

My mom's friend Stacy has a little girl too and her name is Maren. We went to visit my new friend Maren in the snow storm last week. She had lots of toys for Brielle and me to play with. So mom and dad got to visit with their friends while we all played. I taught Maren how to go up and down the stairs and Brielle taught her how to hold her own bottle. I hope she is practicing. Stacy thinks that my mom and dad should look for a house near theirs so we can play with Maren more often. I think I get to go see her again this week. I will get to show her all my new stuff I get for Christmas. See you soon Maren!

Making Cookies

My new favorite pass time is baking. I usually help Grandma with her baking but this time I got to help Dad. We rolled out dough and then I got to cut lots of different shapes into it. Then Mom cooked them. After they cooled off Grandma and Dad frosted them and I put the sprinkles on. BOY DID I MAKE A MESS!! But it sure was fun!! Then for Christmas Grandma Irma gave me a new apron, hat, and oven mit. Now I am a professional chef. Mom says now maybe my clothes won't get so dirty. Brielle liked the cookies too. After I got done eating one we went into the living room to watch TV and we were wondering where Brielle was. She was sitting under the kitchen table chewing on something. When Mom picked her up we realized that I had dropped a piece of my cookie and Brielle was eating it. It was pretty funny. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

Winter Wonderland

In Wisonsin it snows ALOT! The first time it snowed I ran downstairs to get my mom and told her she just had to come up and see what had happened. Once we got up there I told her to look because it was Christmas. She told me, "not quite yet, it is winter." Well since then it has snowed even more. I can even take my sled down the hills along the driveway. Brielle likes the snow too. I taught her how to make snow angels. Grandma says we definitely don't need to worry about not having a white Christmas in Lodi. I hope the rest of you are getting lots of snow too . . . its TONS OF FUN!

Letter to Santa

Just so you all know Santa doesn't know what you want for Christmas unless you write him a letter. My mom told me this so we got right to work. You see I have been thinking about Christmas ever since it snowed the first time, so I was ready to make my letter. I told my mom everything I wanted and she wrote it down for me. Then I did some extra coloring on there special for Santa. My Grandma took the letter to work with her today to mail it for me. Did you all know the Santa lives in the North Pole. Well I just wanted to be sure that you all knew all this information because it was news to me. Now that I am in the know so are you!! Have a fantastic Holiday!!

Better Late than Never

So about a month ago I got to dress up and go door to door for candy. It was the greatest day ever!! I loved dressing up in my mouse costume and Brielle was a giraffe. We went all over Lodi to trick or treat. My favorite part is when the people said I could take candy for myself and my little brother too. I was so excited that I forgot to tell them that Brielle was a little girl. Later we went back to Grandma and Grandpa's house and Sadie came over, she was a bat - with wings and everything. We helped hand out candy to all the kids who rang our doorbell. Then the scariest thing I have ever experienced happened that night. Darth Vador came walking right in the front door and sprang his lightsabor on us. I was soooo scared I ran right up on my grandpa's lap and hid ( I may have cried a little too.) When I finally looked up and it was just my uncle Alan. He is such a meany!! I have already decided that next year I want to be a princess, I have even been practicing with my mom's wedding veil and a crown. I make a pretty good princess. Well I know I got this post up awfully late, I will try harder with the rest of the holidays.

Pretties

So . . . .everyday my sister gets to go to this special drawer and pick out pretties. I finally decided that I want to have a pretty. So my mom said we could give it a try. So she took me over to that special drawer and I grabbed a whole hand full of pretties. She said she was sorry but I could probably only handle one pretty for now and that when I am bigger I can use more. Then we went in to the living room and I got to get my very own pink butterfly pretty put in my hair. Don't you like it!! I hope this will become an everyday event like my sister has. I think I am going to ask Santa for my own pretties this year, my sister is very possessive over hers. But thanks Lauren for letting me try out this pretty for now. XOXO

It's Fall Time

This last weekend I went to visit my grandma and grandpa in Minnesota. We haven't seen them in a long time so I was missing them. We had so much fun there, I love seeing my cousin Izaak! On Sunday it was really nice out side so my mom said lets go play outside before football starts. (Football seems to be a very important thing on Sundays.) So we did and my dad made a BIG leaf pile. I ran through it, jumped in it, and buried myself in it. Then grandma brought out the recycling bin to pick the leaves up in and Izaak and I had a different idea. We both climbed in on top of the leaves and dad pulled us around like we were in a race car. We almost fell out a couple of times. I never knew fall was so much fun. Brielle liked it too but she kept trying to eat the leaves. She always thinks she needs to put everything in her mouth. Those silly babies, I am sure I never did anything like that ;).

Getting Ready for Halloween

So we tried something new this year. Instead of carving our pumpkins we painted them. I had a great time. I started painting mine then my dad gave it big blue eyes ad green hair. Then I thought I would add a little something to Grandma's, her cat needed a little red and yellow to give it color. My mom did Brielle's and gave it a silver smile. Sadie did hers all by herself. Then we all put our names on them and put them on the front stoop for people to see on Halloween. I can't wait until Halloween I am going to dress up in my mouse and go to all the neighbors and get some candy. Last year Jayda and I went to only four houses and came home with a whole bag full of candy. This year I am hoping my mom will let me go to six houses!!

Miss Brielle

So Lauren gave you all her update so I will fill you in with what is new with me too. I am 6 months old and getting SO BIG (arms up everyone). I went to meet my new doctor today too. She says that I am 26inches long (70%) and catching up to my sister fast. I am right on track with weight being 16lb. (50%). As for what is new with me I get big girls food now. I love oatmeal and now my mom even mixes some fruit in with it and I can't eat it fast enough, my mom says that is the one thing I have in common with my big sister. I have also been trying out some vegetables. All I have to say about that is who ever came up with squash should be squashed - YUK!! My mom says I am do much better at naps and night time than my sister did. I just lie down in my crib and snuggle with my blanket and go to sleep on my own. Lauren had to get rocked and snuggled and play with mom and dad's hair. I do like my mom's hair but I found out that if you just play with your own hair it does the same thing. I have been making new friends with the kids at daycare. I really like that my cousin Sadie and my sister are there with me we have lots of fun. I even got to start trying this stuff called formula there - it isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be (I still like mom best - shhhh don't tell). Hugs and Kisses to all of you in MN, see you soon.

Miss Mae

Hi everyone if you read our last post you would have heard that I am almost 2 AND a 1/2 now. My sister and I went to doctor today to see how big we are. I am sorry to say that I am not quite as big as I thought I was. I am 33inches tall which only puts me in the 7%. But not to worry I weigh 29lb. which is in the 50%. So all though I am right on target for weight I have a little work to do in the height department. My other update for everyone is that I have officially gone three weeks with out diapers now - and gone over a week without an accident. My mom says it was worth all the stickers and suckers. . . I agree. I told everyone that my size 4 diapers are for Brielle when she is bigger. We also took the rails off my big girl bed. Dad still listens every night for me to fall out of the bed but it hasn't happened yet. The other night he heard a big thump and came up the stairs running, but I didn't fall out of my bed instead I was trying to walk around the house in the dark and ran right into the door to my bedroom. My mom and dad suggested that I just stay in my bed, so I have been trying that out - it is just those train whistles that keep waking me up. Well I miss all my friends, cousins, and grandparents in MN and I hope to see you all soon. XOXO!

We're Back !!

So I bet you all have forgotten what we look like . . . well here we are! Today is a very special day, it is Brielle's half birthday AND my 29th month birthday. We were both born on the 6th so we get to share birthdays (kind of). My mom says that we might think it is cool now but in a few years we won't like it so much. We have so much to report. Two weekends ago our uncle Alan got married to Chrissy. We love Chrissy so we are so lucky to have her as our aunt!! Then last weekend we got to help them open all their presents. Then this last weekend we got to go with our parents to look for a new house. I had fun picking out which room was going to be mine in all of them. Poor Brielle was stuck in her car seat the whole time so she decided that it was a good idea to take a nap. Mom and Dad found one they really like so hopefully they can buy it. We are sorry we have been gone for so long but we promise to blog much more often now that the technical difficulties are taken care of. Love Ya!!

Coming Soon

Well we are having some minor technical difficulties. You see . . .our mom and dad managed to lose the battery charger to our camera so we have been a little low on pictures. Grandma and Grandpa have been gone in Alaska for two weeks so we haven't been able to use theirs either. So we are relying on the help of Aunt Brenda. As soon as we have this situation resolved we promise to grace you all with our beautiful faces again.

p.s. You won't even recognize my sister Brielle anymore she is getting so big :)

My first hair cut

Well my mom finally gave in and got my hair trimmed. She told me that this is a very big deal for a little girl. So we drove to Waunakee to my mom's cousin Tammy's house. In her basement she has this really fancy chair that goes up and down. My great grandma was there getting here hair cut too and when I was leaving my great aunt Helen was coming for a trim too. Tammy must be pretty good to have all these people come to her house to get their hair cut. I sat on a bunch of pillows and she put a towel around me so hair wouldn't ge on my clothes. Then she did it with and big chop. My mom even got to save some hair in a little bag for my baby book. And because I was such a good girl I got an orange freezer pop when I was finished. My mom was going to take before and after pictures but you can't really tell the difference - my dad didn't even say anything until I told him I got it cut - boys I tell ya. Well to my girlfriends Jocelyn, Jayda, and Sadie its not as bad as our moms play it out to be.

Wisconsin Dells !!!

Let me tell you all about the greatest weekend ever. I went to the coolest place on earth with my friends from Minnesota. It all started with my friens Jocelyn coming to my house in Lodi to have a sleepover. We got to stay up late playing but we kept hearing about this fun weekend we were about to have. Then in the morning my grandma made us a big breakfast and we heard more about this great weekend. Well I wasn't sure what we were about to do but I was definitely too excited to eat. After breakfast my uncle Jeremy brought Sadie up to my house to come with us, now I was even more excited. Then my dad said my favorite words of the summertime, "Let's put your swimsuit on."! Finally I fuigured it out we were going to a pool. So we got in the car and drove for shat weemed like forever. (Later I found out my friends from Minnesota drove much longer - I don't know how you guys could handle it!)Then we got there and it was so much more than just a pool. There were slides and waterfalls and rivers and pools!! My mom called the place we went to Wisconsin Dells, I have decided that this is definitely one of my favortie places. We got in the water in the morning and didn't get out until dinner time. My mom told me that we are going to try and do this every summer - I sure hope so! My favorite part of the whole weekend was seeing my friends from MN. I love you guys and I can't wait until I get to see you again!

4th of July

Ok now I know my sister thinks this is her blog, but I am pretty sure it is mine too. This is Brielle and I am the new boss of the Burros family. I just experienced my first 4th of July and it wasn't too bad. I got to go to my cousin Sadie and her friend Tessa's birthday pool party. Check out my new suit and shades. My sister kept telling me those shades were for her oooh-oooh (monkey) but I look much better in them. They had a really big pool for all the big kids (toddlers) and a little pool for us little kids. That was ok with me because that little pool was much warmer than the big pool. Then after the pool party we went to Sadie's house for a BBQ. My dad drank lots of daddy juice and my mom passed me around to all the other people there. As long as someone holds me I am happy. And you would never guess that there was more excitement when it got dark. We drove to the town where my Aunt Chrissy is from and watched the pretty boom booms. Ok Mom, Lauren, Grandpa, and Grandma wathced them while I took a nap. I always miss the good stuff - my sister says I had better start staying awake more during the day or I am going to miss all the fun. Now that I have got my self known around here you should be hearing more from me.

Dora the Explorer

Today my dad took me to the coolest place ever - THE LIBRARY. There are so many books there I couldn't decide which one to read. Also they were having a Dora the Explorer party when we were there. There were two boys who read us Dora books then they brought out huge boxes of crayons and we got to color pictures of Dora. Have I told you how much I love Dora yet? We thought there would be a couple kids there for me to play with but there were thousands - ok maybe not thousands but there were alot!!My sister came too but she slept through this fun time too. One day I will teach her that you miss out on all the fun if you spend all day napping. I have been skipping naps for a few day now - and my mom isn't happy about it. Well I suggest that you all check out this library place it is pretty cool!!

I got to go to a Carnival!! I had so much fun. I got to go on some rides (some were too big so my dad had to come with me), I got to play games and win toys, and I even had my first funnel cake. Brielle came too but she slept the whole time. I told her next time she better wake up cuz she missed all the fun. Next stop the Lodi Fair - they had better watch out cuz I am a pro now!

Visiting Izaak

I went to Winona to visit Izaak and we got to go to the Childrens Museum. I got to drive a fire truck and drive some boats and they even had slides there. Ezra came with us too and we had so much fun. I can't wait to go visit Izaak again!!

Our first blogging attempt

Well our mom decided that since we moved away from our bloggin' friends up in St. Cloud,MN we had better start our own blog to keep them updated with all of our new adventures in WI.
